The meeting was called to order at 1903 by President Joe Larkin. The minutes were read and approved
with a motion made by Potato Richardson and seconded by Jim Holbrook. There were 22 members present
and one guest, Courtney Giardina.
The treasurer's report was given by Linda Smith. Our club balance is $6302.97. There are still members
who have not paid their dues. Linda gave out a club roster to all members present. Joe Larkin stated our club
tax form was sent in on time. Thank you Linda.
Old Business:
1. Andrew Gerhard and Courtney Giardina have volunteered to manage the Auburn overlook vet. Check
for the American River Classic on April24. They asked for volunteers and stated the vet. Check would be open
from 0800-1900. Paul Klentos, ride manager gave additional information about the ride and so far has 85 horses
signed up to ride.
2. Karin Occhialini reported on the Orville campout. Five members were able to attend. They had a great
time and no rain. Our next campout is in Washoe, Nevada on May 14-16. There will be a pot luck Saturday evening
the 15th. We have 20 members signed up. Please email Judy Carnazzo with the food you will be bringing.
3. Karin Occhialini also gave a report on the" Equestrian Group Leaders" meeting held in Georgetown.
They are working on a master plan for trails point to point with various connecting loops in the divide area. The next
meeting is June 7that 6:30. Potato, Karin, Cindy and Judy volunteered to attend the meeting.
New Business:
1. Jerry Scribner discussed how to be a Western States Trail Foundation benefactor and have your name or an
advertisement for your business in the Tevis Forum. He had donation forms available to club members.
2. Joe Larkin was asked by Deb Wilson if our club would like to have a horse Chiropractor demonstration at one
of our meetings. We agreed to ponder this possibility.
The meeting was then turned over to Doyle and Pam Bailie ride managers for Gold Country ride. They gave a very
complete presentation of the plans. The trail route is still a work in progress. They have the head volunteers in place, the
permits granted , and everything is moving ahead for our ride, July 10, 2010. We can always use volunteers, so if any
members are not already working or know anyone who would like to help please notify the Bailie's. This is our big fundraiser
for the year so all your help is needed and appreciated.
It was moved by Jim Holbrook and seconded by Jon Saunders to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed. The meeting
was adjourned at 2030 by President, Joe Larkin
Respectfully Submitted, Judy Carnazzo Secretary
