Minutes for GCER , April 21st, 2009
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 by Potato Richardson, President. There were 11 members present.
The minutes were read and approved by Jim Holbrook and seconded by Dianne Dalton
Treasurer Dianne Dalton reported we have $3,726.74 in our account. $611 were collected in dues. We had expenses of $35 ,as a deposit for the club vests.
Old Business:
1. We found a new vendor for the vests . They are completed and paid for and will be ready for our next meeting May 21st.
2. Club taxes. After extensive research and numerous phone calls involving the IRS, Dianne Dalton reported we do not have to files the taxes for the last 10 years as the tax laws have changed. She filed tax form 990-N for on line certification for last year, and in the future. This form is for organizations earning less than $25,000. Thank you Dianne for making us current on our taxes.
3. GCER Ride update:
The ribbons for NATRAC and the Dru Barner fun and our ride will all be the same and will remain in place until after our ride.
4. A motion was made by Jim Holbrook and seconded by Joe Larkin to deny the request for donations for the Quarry stop for Tevis and to table any further requests for donations until after our ride. The motion was approved and passed.
New Business:
1. Meeting places. The Larkins offered to have our meeting June 16th in their pool room. We will meet at 6pm and have a potluck prior to the meeting. This is the last meeting before our Gold Country Ride which is July 11th. It is a very important meeting and we hope all members will attend.
2. Potato announced the date for the” Auburn Outdoor Expo” May 16, 2009 from 11am until 7 pm at the new School Park Preserve on High Street.
3. There is a deposit for water permit to GDPUD for our ride. Doyle to be informed.
4. Allison passed the club photo books on to Potato.
5. Kristy gave a report on the club ride at Orville. Everyone had a great time. The riding was terrific and an Easter Egg Hunt was enjoyed by all, especially Forrest Dalton.
6. The American River ride is April 25th.
7. Joe reported we may have a club golf tournament in the near future. He also reminded everyone that our next club ride will be May 15-17 at Washoe Lake. We have club reservations. There will be a fee of $14 per day per vehicle. The amenities include tables, fire pits, electricity and water. Other activities include mountain biking, dirt biking, and golf.
Our next meeting will be May 19th at Marie Callenders.
Allison Spackman moved we adjourn our meeting, this was seconded by Jim Holbrook, and the meeting was adjourned by Potato Richardson.
