GCER Meeting Minutes May 18, 2010

The meeting was called to order at 1905 by President Joe Larkin. The minutes were read
and approved with a motion made by Jim and seconded by Jon. There were fifteen members present and
one guest, Dawn Narvaez.

The treasurer's report was given by Linda Smith. Our club balance is $6417.97.

Old Business:

1. Discussion regarding horse chiropractor, cost, demonstration, and location. More information is needed so
we will continue to ponder this possibility.

2. A big thank you from Paul and Erin Klentos for our help in taking over the vet check at the Auburn Overlook for the
American River Classic ride. Andrew Gerhard and Courtney Giardina did an exceptional job organizing the vet check. Our own
club member, Nanci Gabri won the 50 mile ride. Congratulations Nanci.

New Business:

1. Report on the Washoe Valley one and two ride was given by Diana Hiiesalu Bain. She completed both days of the
50 miler. Coming in 26th and 12th. Joe Larkin was 8th on day one and Cindy Larkin was 3rd on day 2 of the 50 mile ride.
Congratulations all for a job well done.

2. Our club ride in Washoe valley was attended by 10 club members. We had great food, beautiful wildflowers , a herd
of 25 mustangs and two rattlesnakes.

3. Potato reported the Cashe Creek was very successful and well attended ,with good weather and nice awards.

4. June 7th is the Georgetown Equestrian Group Leaders meeting.

5. Our next club rides are as follows: Euer Valley 9/3-9/6. Bort Meadows 9/24-9/26 and Pt Reyes 10/15-10/17.

6. EDETF is having their annual fund raiser ride on Sunday May 30. There will be 5-12-25 mile rides.

7. Michael Rapposelli, club member will have a cottage for rent with horse pasture available June 1, located in Greenwood.

The meeting was turned over to Pam Baillie co-ride manager for our ride July 10. She gave us an update on the ride.
Volunteers are still needed, so if anyone is available please notify the Baillie's . The trail route remains a work in progress.
A ride and tie event will once again be a part of our ride.

Joe is checking with Sizzler's located off highway 80 near the Foresthill turnoff for our next meeting, which will take
place on June 15th. This is our last meeting before our ride so all members please attend so you are well informed.
