The Meeting was called to order by President Potato Richardson.
We had one guest, Rob Exter, and 9 members present.
The Treasurer, Dianne Dalton was unable to attend the meeting. Our balance remains the same at
$4421.93. The signatures on our bank account at US Bank were changed on Monday, May 19th.
The new names on our account are Dianne Dalton, Treasurer, Judy Carnazzo, Secretary, and Cherryl Holbrook Gold Country
Ride Manager.
Old Business:
An Insurance agent was unavailable to attend our meeting to speak to us about various insurance
plans. The insurance for our ride will remain under the umbrella of AERC for sanctioned endurance rides.
Cherryl gave us the latest report on our ride.
1. Our trail will be changed at the start due to the closure of the tobacco gulch trail. There is an endangered bird nesting in the area.
It is the Goshawk.
2. The 50’s will start at 6am and the 30’s at 7am. Both will start from camp down bottle hill and do a 5 mile loop around the enchanted
forest and back up bottle hill with a trot by along camp on bottle road.
3.We have volunteers in place but need more. Cherryl will be sending a notice out to all club members, stating what she needs.
4. Cherryl also stated that after 15 years of being ride manager she is stepping down from that position. She said she would mentor
anyone willing to take over as ride manager.
Trail News:
1. Sheila Larson stated serious trail work was done on the old Tevis trail out of Cool and wondered who was responsible for it. Karin
Occhialini stated that Park Services was responsible for all trails in the Auburn State Recreation Area.
2. Because of all the letters and meetings, public comment period was extended until May 30th for the Folsom State
Draft General plan.Everyone was again encouraged to send in their concerns.
Respectfully submitted , Judy Carnazzo, Secretary
