GCER Meeting Minutes 7-17-07 @ Bakers Square, Auburn
Meeting called to order at 7:00pm by Pres. Potato Richardson.
Guests: Gene Myers, Bob Edwards, Tamara Madeiros and Helena Kocovrkova
Treasury Rpt by Jon. Bal. $780.00 - paid vets, shoer and awards - no ride entry fees included yet.
Old Business
Discussion about the Ride
Cherryl Next year be sure to talk about the trail markings for the first time riders, Even though we had some experienced riders
miss turns. Bottom line most of the comments from riders have been good. 1 st loop is good, except a patch of manzanita that
needs a club work party to fix. The 2nd loop needs some work.
Next year Tevis is July 19th , that puts the GCER on July 4th weekend.
Motion by Cindy to have the GCER on July 5th 2008- 2nd by Karen, All Approved.
Discussion on raising fees, tabled till later.
Karen asked is there somewhere that the club can display the GCER trophies,
Discussion followed, everyone to think about it, come back with any suggestions.
Karen brought up the Tevis - Lower Quarry, that the club has supported this site in
the past with some monies. Cherryl made a motion to donate $300 to the group working the Lower Quarry,
Randy 2nd most approved, 2 opposed.
New Business
Discussion on the Mural with the Auburn arts council
Point Reyes- Stewart Horse Camp is an unofficial get together,
it is the weekend of Oct 18-21.
After that the next official get together is the Jan 1 at the Milestone in Cool

Karen stated another thank you to Cherrly for being Ride Director of the ride.
All agreed, and added their thanks.
