Old business Gold Country Ride
Doyle and Randy gave a full report on our Gold Country Ride. Our own club member Kristi Hartman on "Sam"
came in first and also won Best Condition. Congratulations Kristy. We had a lost and found horse, (tied to a tree
the next morning), well marked trails ,Thanks to Pam, Karin, Joe and Cindy, a few Bee stings, a lot of late entry's ,
a section of pulled ribbons on bottle hill road, one incident of gunned motorcycles, one turn needs a lime marking. On
a positive note there were no overtime riders, and terrific spotters along the way.
Doyle said our volunteers were amazing, and made his job easy. Everyone came thru and worked above and
beyond the call of duty. The radio people and sweep riders were great. Everyone did their jobs and made 2009 Gold
Country Endurance Ride a huge success. Congratulations to Pam and Doyle Bailie for a job well done.
They are looking forward to 2010, and have a big "Thank you" to all volunteers whether your job was big or small
for your wonderful help. "We couldn't have put on this ride without you". A special thank you to Bill and Diane Johnson,
and Pete Occhialini for the Valet Parking. Karin Occhialini and Donna Williams for their full service vet checks. Allison
Spackman and her wonderful crew of vets and vet Secretaries, and Martin Makin and Paul Dahms for their excellent water
services. Mike Hartman and his crew of "chef's" for a delicious meal. A special thank you from me to all the timers,
Hall's, Ecklund's, Suter's, Ann Rubenstein, Blankenship's, and Lucy T
We are missing an orange cone, Gold Country Banners made by Britt in 2006. And three big lights that were stored
