This brings our balance to $3,195.75.

Old business:

1. Insurance:
Joe Larkin was absent but had sent a proposal to the board regarding insurance. Jim Holbrook motioned to accept the proposal and the motion was seconded by Betsy Wobus. A discussion was held and it was decided to wait until our next meeting to make a decision, since we would not be buying insurance until 2009. Jon Saunders motioned to table the decision until our next meeting and it was seconded by Pam Bailie.

2. Leftover food supplies
A motion was made by Dianne Dalton to donate all food items to the Auburn Food Bank, seconded by Carol Saunders. Everyone voted in favor of the motion. I will notify Karin and Allison of our decision and they will take care of the donation.

3. Clothes with club Logo
After a brief discussion it was decided Pam Bailie will bring a price list for the following items with club Logo on it: Long sleeve T shirt, Jacket, Vest, and Tank Top. Dianne Dalton said she would be willing to co-ordinate sales.

4. Dianne Dalton is continuing work on the club roster and asked for names and addresses of members.

New business:

1. Our Gold country Ride date for next year is July 11, 2009.
A discussion was held regarding the price of the entry fee. Pam will look at price increases for our facilities and suppliers and we will decide if we need to raise our fees at our Oct. meeting.

2. Pam Bailie also suggested we have a membership drive and have a prize for the person who brings in the most new members.

3. A discussion was held regarding possible events we could have next year to encourage new members to join. Everyone was encouraged to bring their ideas to our next meeting.

4. Elections will be held at our meeting next month on October 21, 2008. This will be our last meeting of the year. Any nominations for officers are welcome.

Ride Reports

1} The Oakland Hills fund raiser ride was very successful as reported by Vicki Hoffman and Dianne Dalton. The trails and vistas were beautiful, however there were bicycles and dogs on the trail, the directions were by map and difficult to follow and it was a lot of work to move rigs three times over six days. All in all they had a great time and the food and entertainment were wonderful. Karin Occhialini and Becky Santucci also attended the ride.

2} The Patriot's Day I and II 25/50 in Greenville, Ca. with over 100 riders was won by Becky Spencer, who also got BC for day I. Pam and Doyle Bailie, and Potato were in the top 10. Potato's horse FiFi ridden by Sally Toy from England came in first on day II and received BC. Congratulations to all!!

3} Pam reported that the AERC National Championships will be held at the same facility Oct. 1, 2009. She stated it is a wonderful area for an endurance event.

4} Dianne Dalton will be participating in the VC 100 ride next weekend, September 20th, good luck Dianne!!

Jim Holbrook moved the meeting be adjourned, it was seconded by Jon Saunders. The meeting was adjourned by President Potato Richardson.

Respectfully submitted, Judy Carnazzo, Secretary
