GCER Meeting Minutes 10-16-07 @ Bakers Square, Auburn

The meeting was called to order by President Potato Richardson.
Jon Saunders gave a report of the last meet in September. He also informed us that he is resigning from his job as treasurer, and Carol is resigning as Secretary. They have done a wonderful job, and served us well for a long time. Jon also gave us the treasures report. We have $4,499 in our bank account. There were 13 members present and one guest Marlina Davison. She is the granddaughter of Linda Gilotti. She just completed her first ride and tie.

Old business:

Potato and Karin Occhialini have both written letters to the parks dept. regarding the status of Stewart Ranch and issues regarding its change or closure.

New Business:

1. Potato announced the Auburn Endurance Expo is next Saturday, October 20 at the Gold Country Fairgrounds. We will share a booth with EDETF and everyone is invited to bring anything they have relating to Our Club GCER.

2. We next had nominations for next years officers. Potato offered to serve again as president, Joe Larkin accepted the vice presidents position, and I volunteered to be secretary. The treasures post was not filled. Board members will be the officers and past president KO and Linda Gilotti was nominated as a new board member.

3. Discussion was held on the viability of the club. It was decided to maintain for another year.

4. A discussion was held regarding group rides, and ways to keep up interest in the club.

It was Cindy Larkins birthday. We sang to her and had birthday pie provided by KO.

The meeting was adjourned by Potato.
Our next meeting would be the annual New Years day ride in Cool with a potluck dinner to follow at 2pm at the Milestone Saloon in Cool.
