GCER Meeting Minutes September 16, 2008
The meeting was called to order by Potato Richardson at 7:12 pm. There were 15 members and one guest present. Our guest was Dineen Anderson, daughter of longtime member Lynge Simoni.
The minutes were read and approved.
Dianne Dalton, treasurer reported we have $3,081.74. Expenses this month were $24.93 for our nonprofit state license, and $114 for our web site.
Old Business
1. Insurance: Joe Larkin reported the policy will cost about $515 per year for 7 events. This will give one million dollars liability coverage for each event. After discussion a motion was made by Jim Holbrook and seconded b Doyle to approve the purchase of this policy if the price is within 10% of the quote and effective 12/15/08. The motion passed.
2. Ride entry Fee: After discussion it was moved by Judy and seconded by Lynge to keep our ride entry fee at $85 for 2009. The motion passed.
3. Clothes with Club Logo: Doyle gave us prices on various items and after discussion it was decided to have only one item for sale to begin with. Doyle will bring a red and black reversible vest with our logo on the front to our next meeting and orders will be taken at that time.
New Business:
1. Elections: There were no new nominations and all of the present officers agreed to serve for the next year. It was moved by
Jim and seconded by Doyle to keep the same officers for 2009. The motion passed. The slate of officers is as follows:

Ride Reports:
Dianne Dalton completed the NASTR Triple Crown by doing the Virginia City 100. She came in 11th overall and 4th in her wt. class. The triple crown includes three different rides: a 50, 75, and 100 miles.
Kristi Hartman finished 4th on the VC 100
Linda {Gigliotti}, and Larry Ball did the Tahoe Rim Trail from Spooner Pass to Kingsberry.

Our next meeting will be the Annual New Years Day Ride at the Cool staging area, with a potluck dinner to follow at 2:pm at the Milestone Saloon. We are urging all old and new members to join us and bring a friend. It is always a good time to see old friends and meet new ones.
Jon Saunders moved the meeting be adjourned, it was seconded by Jim Holbrook. The meeting was adjourned by President Potato Richardson.
