Gold Country ride: 2014

Pam Bailie said our Gold Country was a big success, ran smoothly and thanked all the volunteers for their excellent help. Daanan Stamper will co – manage the ride with Pam next year. Donna Williams was very proud of her crew at the airport. They got 51 horse/riders thru the vet check in 2 hours. Good job Donna. Our ride next year will be on July 11, 2015. The Tevis date is August 1, 2015.

Thank you Pam and Doyle for a job well done.

Becky announced that Cindy will ask the airport manager to cash our donation check from this year and last year and use the money to grade the road into the airport vet check. It is very rutted and in need of repair.

New Business:

A long discussion was held regarding the route and distance for next year’s ride. We will ponder this issue and come to a decision at our meeting next month. Becky also announced nominations for club officers will be open at next month’s meeting, and voting will take place at our last meeting of the year in October. Becky and Cindy are both resigning from their positions. Be thinking of who would like to be president and treasurer. The four board members Linda Davisson, Jim Holbrook, Diana H. Bain, and Michel Bloch, have served two years, so those positions will also be open for nominations.

Karin announced, she would like to have club T. shirts with our logo on them. Pam Baillie will look into that and report back at our next meeting. Karin also announced a Mustang event “Wild Mustangs our Heritage” this Saturday in Virginia City, as well as the Mustang Movie Tuesday August 26 at 6:30 pm in Roseville at Century 14 theatre on Eureka road. Karin also stated WANAC put on a wonderful catered ride in the Humbolt state park last weekend for four days with terrific food and beautiful trails. This was attended also by Alison, Judy, and Barbara Edison. The last WANAC ride is at Stone Cellar Sept. 10-14. Notify Claudia Bolton if you are interested. Her email is cbolton@northstarsls.org.

Marcie stated she knows of 5 mustangs that have been gentled and have some training and need homes. Call her if you are interested. Her phone is 530-613-7000.

Diane Dixon Johnson stated the Tahoe Rim ride is this weekend. It is a lottery ride; however two spaces have become available if anyone is interested. Diane and Bill Johnson are going and also Cynthia Buendia.

The meeting was adjourned by Becky with a motion by Jim and Seconded by Karin. Our next meeting will be here at Joe Caribe, unless you hear differently, so watch for a notice.

Respectfully Submitted, Judy Carnazzo Secretary
